On 21 of November the LDF Vilnius District department organized the seminar on "Improving the quality of life, the importance of labour law and collective agreement in enterprises." The workshop was attended by primary organizations including most active members of LDF in the Vilnius District. Chairperson of Vilnius District department Vaclovas Dubosas welcomed the participants of the seminar. He was very glad to inform that the number of members is increasing; the collective agreements are prepared very actively.  

It was very pleasant that representative of employers’ organization and the member of Tripartite Council Rimvydas Jasinavičius agreed to take part in the seminar. Professor outlined the importance of the quality of life for all of us, and advised to seek it.

Chairperson of LDF Vydas Puskepalis introduced the newly elected coalition of the Parliament and their anti-crisis plan. He outlined, that the current situation in the country is not good, so it will affect the workers interests.  In this case the role of trade unions, each of us is crucial. It is important to protect the poorest part of the society, low-income workers.

It is always pleasant when representatives of Vilnius Labour inspectorate take part at the seminars. Senior Inspector of Labour inspection Stasys Radžius spoke about accident prevention and occupational safety. Participants had the opportunity to consult, to ask questions about the existing problems in the enterprises and to get the answers. Participants had the opportunity to consult, make the existing problems, get answers.

The topic of collective agreement was discussed in the seminar. Lawyer of LDF Erika Patupytė talked about the importance of collective agreements. Such agreements provide more guarantees for workers.
