On 9th and 10th June 2008, the ETUCE held the closing Conference of the ETUCE project “Preventing and tackling violence in schools”, in Sofia, Bulgaria.

On 9 of June, 2008 three national trade union centres of Lithuania - Lithuanian Labour Federation (LDF), Lithuanian Trade Union Confederation (LPSK) and Lithuanian trade union “Solidarumas” (LPS) with the support of European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and with the financial support of European Commission organized the seminar “The bipartite social dialogue perspectives in Lithuania”.

Coordination centre of Lithuanian trade unions that unites Lithuanian trade union confederation, Lithuanian Labour Federation and Lithuanian trade union „Solidarumas“ dissociate from the political party „Trade union centre“ establishment and its activities.

On the 27 of May 2008 the Tripartite Council of Utena region municipality was established.

On 22 – 24 of May 2008 the seminar „Social dialogue in AB „Lietuvos Geležinkeliai“. Social responsibility of enterprises. International labour organisation (ILO)“ took place in Giruliai. The seminar was organised by Lithuanian Transport federation and International transport workers trade union federation (FIOST).
